Great pub , live music and disco always something going on

Great service and great staff ,the owner is friendly

To whom this may concern,I recently attended the stag pub and hotel situated in south Queensferry. I am fully aware it is at the company discretion whom to serve. I had attended a child's Halloween party and had ordered chips for my son. The wait for this was preposterous and unacceptable. After around an hour I was then told that my three year old son wouldn't be allowed his chips he was waiting on. He was very upset and hungry and couldn't understand as to why. My son was in floods of tears and extremely distressed. We were then asked to leave including my three year old son who was upset at having to leave his party with his friends. I am aware that it is at their discretion however no reasonable reason was given to us as to why we had to leave. The barmaid was absolutely rude about ther situation and it could have been dealt with in a more professional manor. I then asked to speak to the manager and was then told he was asleep up the stairs and that it wasn't their problem to deal with my complaint. Call me crazy but I was under the impression managers were delighted these jobs to deal with complaints. This upset my my son greatly and I would not recommend this pub due to customer service and no proper complaints procedure. I am shocked and appalled at the level of incompetence and am beginning to wonder if the staff are barley synapsing or have any manners to speak of. I would not recommend this pub as perhaps an adult could have understood what was going on but they bullied a three year old child and removed him from a party which he loved for no reason allocated in my opinion this was bullying and entirely digraceful. I am surprised the place ifs still open. Also the staff are not friendly it wouldn't crack the barmaids face to smile. Ignorant people and a complete disgrace safe to say I won't be attending again.

Ask for room no. 1 with a view to the bridge and the harbor below. If youre staying overnight, then theres parking in the back. The hotel has a nice little bar to the street.

Visited the bar here after sightseeing around South Queensferry. We were welcomed into a small, cozy and friendly atmospheric bar with a typical seaside town feel. Prices reasonable for drinks compared to nearby Edinburgh. Well worth a visit if passing through.
